Twilight to Sunrise

Twilight is sacred in Hinduism. I find the early morning light totally in line with that belief. There is a term called “Nautical Twilight” that period when the sun is 12 degrees below the horizon. I call it half-past dark.

Photography in the period from just before the sun peeks over the horizon to just after, absolutely requires a tripod for crisp images. Also very important are the locations where you can find some body of water that might reflect that special light.

I have a few . .  .
Several of my favorite locations are on the Delmarva Peninsula, one on the shores of the Delaware Bay, the other in the marshes of Dorchester, MD. Two were from the veranda of a Best Western in Florida and a couple sunrises were on the Gulf Coast.

Can you suggest similar locations?
